Dr. Veronica Obodo-Eckblad

My vision was to provide a clinic in Ibiasoegbe village where the entire family has access to healthcare. Where children are followed to make sure they are meeting growth and developmental milestones and receiving the appropriate scheduled and necessary vaccinations. Where adults receive medical treatment and preventive health education to manage chronic and infectious diseases. I am eternally grateful to my family both nuclear and extended, colleagues, friends, members of Davis Friends Meeting, people of Ibiasoegbe village and all the generous donors and supporters who worked to make this vision a reality. Let’s keep marching on.

Ike Obodo

I am a mechanical engineer by profession and although I am not in the medical field, I know the importance of providing access to medical care to our rural Nigerian village. We have countless stories of people losing family members due to lack of access, delay in treatment or inadequate treatment by an unsupervised nurse. I have been instrumental in coordinating the logistics of the medical missions from providing lodging to hiring workers, enlisting volunteers and coordinating the construction of the clinic. I am invested in seeing this project succeed and will continue to do all that I can to make that happen.
