A T-Shirt Goes a Long Way

After our first visit to Ibi Village, we started a t-shirt fundraiser for contributions towards the construction of the clinic. Art work for our shirt is done by Chinazei Ike (pronounced Cheenayzia Eekay) age 9. During our medical mission trip in 2014, we had an informal contest where we asked the children from St Paul Elementary School in Ibi village to draw a picture of what they see the medical team doing. The majority of the posters were of elaborate architectural renditions of what the children imagined the future Ibi People's Clinic would look like. Chinazei's poster, on the other hand, captured the spirit of the medical mission in her fluid and animated depiction of people coming and going from the clinic. We see a sick boy encountering one of the doctors in front of the clinic. The doctor is ready to provide care, stethoscope and all.
